Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Delivers 9,000 CEU PCTC to Grimaldi and Commences Construction of Two Dual-Fuel Vessels

On March 11, Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding successfully delivered the 9,000 CEU PCTC “Grande Seoul” to Italy’s GRIMALDI Group.

It is understood that the vessel “Grande Seoul” has been classed by the Registro Italiano Navale (RINA). The vessel has an overall length of 199.90 meters, a beam of 38.0 meters, a depth of 14.8 meters, a design draft of 9.2 meters, and a design speed of 19.0 knots. It is powered by a MAN B&W 7S60MEC10.6-HPSCR main engine, meeting Tier II/III specifications.

On March 12, Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding commenced construction on two vessels: the 10,800 CEU dual-fuel PCTC (Hull No.H1613) for Korea’s KOBC, and the 9,200-TEU dual-fuel container ship (Hull No.H1405) for France’s CMA CGM.

Director Bao Jiewen of Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding and representatives from the shipowner and classification society jointly attended the steel cutting ceremony.
