GSI Delivers First of Eight LNG-Dual Fuel LRII Tankers to EPS

On November 12, China State Shipbuilding Corporation Guangzhou Shipyard International (GSI) held a delivery signing ceremony for the first 111,000 DWT LNG dual-fuel crude/product tanker built for Singapore’s Eastern Pacific Shipping Pte. Ltd. (EPS), significantly ahead of the contractual delivery schedule.

The shipowner for this project, EPS, is a globally renowned international shipping company headquartered in Singapore and currently ranks among the world’s largest privately owned shipping companies.

This project consists of a series of eight vessels, representing GSI’s independently designed and developed new generation of LNG dual-fuel LRII tankers, utilizing both fuel oil and LNG for propulsion.

The vessel has an overall length of 250 meters, a beam of 44 meters, a structural draft of 14.7 meters and a deadweight tonnage of approximately 111,000 tons, with a service speed of 14.5 knots. It meets IMO Tier III emission standards and achieves an Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) of Phase III. The vessel features high speed, light lightship weight, low energy consumption, and strong adaptability.

GSI has consistently aligned with market demands for various tanker types, continuously refining its technical designs and leveraging extensive construction experience to significantly enhance its shipbuilding cycle control capabilities, earning strong favor from shipowners. The delivery of this project further demonstrates GSI’s proven capabilities in tanker design and construction, effectively elevating its influence in the international market.
