On September 4, Yangzhou Wanlong Shipbuilding and Chenxin Shipping signed a contract for the construction of 2 1,900 TEU container ships and 2 4,350 TEU container ships with options for two 1,900 TEU container ships and two 4,350 TEU container ships.
The signing of this shipbuilding contract represents a significant step in Chenxin Shipping’s fleet development strategy. The newbuilding program will substantially enhance the company’s transport capacity, optimize its route network, and provide robust support for future business expansion.
Founded on August 20, 2007, Yangzhou Wanlong Shipbuilding is one of the key enterprises within the Shipbuilding Industrial Park of Yizheng Development Zone. The company currently operates primarily through shipping partnerships in the Middle East, India, Pakistan and the Red Sea. In May of this year, it launched liner services to the Red Sea and Turkey. Its domestic ports of call include major hubs such as Tianjin, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Nansha, and Shekou.
