Since May last year, Nantong Development Zone and Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding have had many mutual visits and exchanges. Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding is very optimistic about the investment environment and development prospects of Nantong Development Zone and decided to settle in Nantong Development Zone and carry out shipbuilding business.

The successful launch of this project means that the top three large shipbuilding enterprises in China – CSSC, China Merchants Group and China COSCO Shipping Group – have all established a presence in Nantong. This will add another highlight to the development of Nantong’s high-end equipment manufacturing cluster and bring enormous economic and social benefits.

Bao Delin, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of Nantong Municipal People’s Congress and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Nantong Development Zone, stated at the signing ceremony that Nantong has been strengthening its connection with central enterprises and Shanghai. The development of the Development Zone cannot be separated from the support of major projects. With Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding settling in the Development Zone this time, the Development Zone will spare no effort in providing excellent service to ensure that the project is put into production and achieves results as soon as possible.

Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding stated that the Nantong Development Zone not only has a solid foundation in shipbuilding but also an excellent business environment. It is believed that with the joint efforts of both parties, the project will certainly be further expanded and strengthened.
