Hubei Changjiang Ship Supply Chain Launches 12 Newbuilding Project Worth $24M, Featuring LNG-Powered Green Ships

On June 25, Hubei Changjiang Ship Supply Chain Co., Ltd. (referred to as “Changjiang Ship Supply Chain”) held a signing ceremony for new shipbuilding cooperative construction projects, launching two types of 12 ship new construction projects with a total contract value of approximatelyRMB 170 million (approximately US$24 million).


Qu Yang, general manager of Zhijiang Shengmao Shipyard, Wei Zijia, corporate juridical person and general manager of Chongqing Xinhonglian International Logistics Co., Ltd., Cheng Yufei, corporate juridical person of Ezhou Yuxin Shipbuilding and Xu Zhengshan, secretary of the Party Branch and chairman of Changjiang Ship Supply Chain, attended the signing ceremony together.

It is understood that a total of 12 ships of two types were signed during this agreement.

  • Ten 130-meter green and intelligent standard ships for the Sichuan River are expected to be delivered in batches from the end of 2025 to the middle of 2026. The ships integrate a number of key technologies such as LNG clean energy application and micro-ignition power system. They are the first batch of new generation 130-meter green and intelligent standard ships for the Sichuan River that use pure LNG power.
  • Two 130-meter LNG single-fuel multi-purpose ships for the Changjiang River, with a total tonnage of 6,180 tons, a total length of 130 meters, a beam of 16.26 meters and a depth of 7.28 meters, are expected to be delivered in April 2026.

It is reported that the Changjiang Ship Supply Chain is currently giving full play to the role of chain-leading enterprises, helping Hubei Province’s shipbuilding industry achieve green and intelligent upgrades. From January to June, the company has signed orders for 20 new energy ships with a total contract value of nearly RMB 250 million, which has effectively driven the coordinated development of the industrial chain and supply chain, and helped enterprises in the chain to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
