On May 23, representatives from SWS and RINA convened at the RINA Shanghai office to finalize future strategic cooperation between the two entities and formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
The strategic cooperation aims to drive innovation and sustainability in shipbuilding, emphasizing technological advancement, operational excellence, and enhancing sustainability practices. The MOU outlines a framework for collaboration, lays the foundation for joint projects between the two parties, and promotes growth and innovation for both parties.
Zhou Qi, Deputy General Manager of SWS, and Simone Manca, Vice President of RINA North Asia, signed the MOU during the meeting.
SWS and RINA have previously collaborated extensively on a number of projects, particularly on the Adora Magic City and Adora Flora City cruise ship projects and a series of PCTC projects. This year, the two sides focused on discussing strategic cooperation to enhance the depth of cooperation.
The meeting also discussed in detail upcoming projects, technology directions to improve efficiency and performance, and commitment to driving green and smart development of the industry.
The signing of the MOU marks the depth of a long-term partnership that aims to contribute to the sustainable development of the industry by sharing knowledge, resources and innovative solutions.
