In early September, the Japanese shipowner IINO Lines announced via its official website that it had signed a time charter agreement with the Dubai-based energy trader BGN for a 90,000-cubic-meter LPG dual-fuel Very Large Gas Carrier (VLGC).
Built by HD Hyundai Heavy Industries, the vessel measures 230 meters in length and 32.25 meters in width, features a cargo capacity of 90,000 cubic meters and an LPG dual-fuel propulsion system, and is scheduled for delivery no later than the end of December 2029.
IINO Lines is currently expanding its fleet of low-carbon, dual-fuel vessels to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This newly chartered VLGC will mark the company’s fourth LPG dual-fuel vessel.
