On September 11, construction officially began on the Nanning base of Jiangxi Pi Ship Technology Development, a subsidiary of Qinshi Group, at the Liujing Industrial Park in Nanning’s Eastern New City. The project was initiated in August 2025; the contract was signed on February 3, 2026, and the land was acquired on May 8.
The base’s first phase covers an area of 300 mu (approximately 200,000 square meters) and features a 237-meter outfitting wharf, eight shipbuilding berths, and core production workshops spanning 57,000 square meters. Equipped with intelligent robots, the facility achieves a manual-to-automated replacement rate of over 50% for cutting and welding operations.
At full capacity, the base can produce 350,000 deadweight tons (DWT)—or 70 units—of new-energy vessels annually. Its primary products are 5,000- to 8,000-ton class new-energy inland vessels, utilizing zero-carbon propulsion systems such as pure electric, LNG, methanol, and hydrogen power.
