On August 20, Taizhou Kouan Shipbuilding achieved three major milestones in a single day, with the naming and delivery of two stainless-steel chemical tankers of different types, alongside the steel-cutting ceremony for a new vessel.

Taizhou Kouan Shipbuilding held a naming and delivery ceremony for the “Shanming”, the third 13,800 DWT stainless-steel chemical tanker built for XT-IMC Shipping, and the “XT GLORY”, a 13,000 DWT stainless-steel chemical tanker built for Xingtong Shipping.
The “XT GLORY” is a green, smart duplex stainless steel oil and chemical tanker and is the first vessel in the jurisdiction to receive a cybersecurity supplementary mark; it is classified by CCS. Incorporating advanced design concepts and equipped with a high-efficiency propulsion system and liquid cargo handling system, it features strong cargo adaptability, excellent economic performance, and a high degree of automation.
The 13,800 DWT duplex stainless steel oil and chemical tanker “Shanming” is classed by Bureau Veritas (BV) and is certified for unlimited navigation. The vessel is 132 meters long, 21.5 meters wide, has a design speed of 13.5 knots, a deadweight tonnage of approximately 13,800 metric tons, and a total tank capacity of 15,300 cubic meters.
