On August 18, Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (DSIC), a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), in collaboration with China Shipbuilding Trading Co., Ltd. (CSTC), delivered the 307,000 DWT crude oil tanker “Front Fraser” to the Norwegian owner SEATANKERS. The delivery came 43 days ahead of the contractual deadline.

The Front Fraser is a next-generation VLCC independently developed and designed by DSIC. It measures approximately 333 meters in length, 60 meters in beam, and 30 meters in depth, with a deck area exceeding 18,000 square meters and a total coating area of over 540,000 square meters. Through the optimization of hull lines, improvements to energy-saving devices, and the innovative installation of a six-cylinder main engine, the vessel achieves significantly enhanced energy efficiency and environmental performance, reaching a world-class level.

Meanwhile, the vessel is well-suited for use in ports and waterways; with a design draft of 20.5 meters, it can carry more than 2 million barrels of crude oil and pass freely through the Strait of Malacca. In line with the design philosophy of “green, eco-friendly, and energy-efficient,” it is equipped with an exhaust gas desulfurization system, which can save approximately 35 million yuan in fuel costs annually.
