On November 27, COSCO SHIPPING BRAZIL (Vessel No. N1065), the first production of 14,100 TEU series of container vessels built by COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Yangzhou) Co., Ltd. was Successfully delivered and put into operation.
This series of vessels is a new generation of safe, green, energy-saving and intelligent vessels jointly designed by COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry and MARIC, which mainly serve the Far East to South America route.
With an overall length of 335.9 meters, a beam of 51 meters and a depth of 29.9 meters, this series of vessels can carry 14,100 standard containers. Equipped with advanced intelligent ship system, the world’s largest capacity class permanent magnet shaft generator, hidden bulbous bow, high-efficiency propellers, energy-saving conduits, automatic control system for cargo hold fan, low-pressure denitrification system (SCR), and desulphurization system, etc., the ship is able to meet the energy efficiency index of the third stage of EEDI. Meanwhile, it meets DNV SMART (OPH, OPM, EEN) and CCS i-Ship (N,M,E,I) notation requirements, as well as DNV CYBER SECURE network security requirements.
It is said that the construction of COSCO Shipping Brazil started in July 2022, and the whole construction period is 16 months.
