Recently, Qin Weimin, Party Branch Secretary and General Manager of Nantong Xiangyu Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd. (Nantong Xiangyu SOE), led a delegation to South Korea for international cooperation and exchange. The delegation visited HD Hyundai Heavy Industries and HD Hyundai Marine Engine, and signed a procurement agreement with HD Hyundai Marine Engine for six sets of 6G50 marine main engines.

It is understood that the partnership between Nantong Xiangyu SOE and HD Hyundai Marine Engine began in 2018, and to date, the two companies have signed contracts for the procurement of main engines for more than 160 vessels.
Qin Weimin and his delegation held discussions with senior executives from HD Hyundai Heavy Industries and HD Hyundai Marine Engine on hot topics such as current global shipping market trends, the supply-demand dynamics of marine main engines, and the development trends of green shipping. They also reached broad consensus on key matters including core support for shipbuilding, main engine delivery schedules, and collaborative technological upgrades. The three parties agreed that, in the face of market opportunities and challenges, deepening industrial chain collaboration and advancing smart manufacturing are key to achieving mutual benefit and win-win outcomes.
Nantong Xiangyu SOE stated that the company will continue to deepen its cooperation with the HD Hyundai Group, fully leverage its shipbuilding and market development capabilities, further promote complementary strengths and mutual benefit, and provide more competitive green ship solutions to global customers.
