GTT announces that it has received, in the second quarter of 2026, an order from the shipyard Hanwha Ocean for the tank design of a new Liquefied Natural Gas Carrier (LNGC), on behalf of a European ship-owner.

GTT will design the cryogenic tanks of the vessel, offering a total capacity of 174,000 m3. The tanks will be fitted with the NO96 Super+ membrane containment system, a technology developed by GTT.
Delivery of the vessel is scheduled for the second quarter 2029.
On May 11, Hanwha Ocean announced that it had signed a construction contract with a European shipowner for one liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier. The order is valued at 363.2 billion KRW (approximately 250 million USD) and is scheduled for delivery by June 15, 2029.
According to information disclosed by Hanwha Ocean, the shipowner behind this additional order is Knutsen OAS Shipping of Norway. In 2025, this same shipowner had previously placed an order with Hanwha Ocean for seven LNG carriers, with a total construction cost of approximately 1.75 billion USD; these vessels are expected to be delivered sequentially by the first half of 2029.
