On May 20, Shanhaiguan Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd. (SHGSIC), a shipyard under China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (DSIC), delivered the 115,000 DWT LR2 product tanker “Leros”, built for the Greek company Dynacom, 164 days ahead of the contractual delivery date.

The vessel is approximately 249.8 meters long, 44 meters wide, and 21.2 meters deep. It is suitable for carrying crude oil and refined oil products with a flash point below 60°C, offering flexible applications and excellent port and seaworthiness. Its maneuverability, economic performance, and energy-saving and environmentally friendly features are superior to similar vessels, giving it strong market competitiveness.

SHGSIC stated that the vessel successfully completed the functional acceptance of equipment such as generators, incinerators, and air compressors before leaving the dry dock; at the same time, the main cable lines from the deck and living quarters to the engine room were fully laid, further improving the integrity of the vessel’s paint and living quarters.

The vessel “Leros” achieved a sea trial integrity score of 97.8 points, with a total sea trial time of 105 hours, including 70 hours of main engine operation and 96 hours of inspection and acceptance, setting a new record for the fastest sea trial of similar product oil tankers by SHGSIC.
