On May 12, Chinese shipbuilder Jianglong Shipbuilding officially signed a contract with Junan Shipping Engineering and Singapore-based General Marine for the construction of two 57-meter high-end offshore supply vessels.

Jianglong Shipbuilding describes this multi-functional offshore supply vessel as being designed and built according to American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) standards. It is 57.5 meters long, 13.8 meters wide, and 5.0 meters deep, with a design draft of 3.7 meters and a full-load displacement of approximately 2,190 tons.
Equipped with bow thrusters and twin-engine, twin-propeller propulsion, it has a design speed of 12.0 knots and a range of up to 10,000 nautical miles. The vessel has a crew capacity of 60 and is equipped with comprehensive living facilities, giving it strong self-sufficiency capabilities at sea. With a 300-square-meter aft deck, it can efficiently perform heavy-load operations such as material transport, equipment hoisting, and engineering maintenance.

In addition, the vessel integrates advanced navigation and communication equipment, a SMART intelligent management system, and shipwide CCTV surveillance. Its level of intelligence, safety, and reliability meet international high-end standards, enabling it to operate effectively in complex maritime environments characterized by high temperatures, high humidity, and high salt fog. It is well-suited for a wide range of missions, including offshore platform supply, engineering operations and maintenance, emergency rescue, and external firefighting.
Jianglong Shipbuilding stated that the successful signing of this project will help enhance the market visibility and influence of the company’s offshore engineering product line, and will play a positive role in the company’s efforts to further expand into high-end international markets.
