On April 8, a grand delivery and naming ceremony was held at the Jiangsu Suhao Innovation Technology Group in Yizheng for the “Anshun,” the first of a series of 63,500 DWT bulk carriers built by Suhao Innovation Technology for China Construction Investment Leasing. The event marked a new milestone in the cooperation between the two state-owned enterprises as they jointly explored new frontiers in green shipping.
According to reports, the 63,500 DWT bulk carrier delivered this time is a single-screw-driven vessel with a length of 199.9 meters, a beam of 32.26 meters, a depth of 18.9 meters, a structural draft of 13.5 meters, a service speed of 13.4 knots, and a maximum range of 20,000 nautical miles. Thanks to its outstanding green, eco-friendly, and energy-efficient performance, the vessel has become one of the most sought-after mainstream ship types in the current international shipping market.
Since the project’s commencement, Suhao Innovation Technology Shipyard has adhered to the principles of scientific planning and precise management, delivered the high-quality vessel 52 days ahead of schedule. This achievement set a new record for the fastest delivery in the shipyard’s history, showcasing the “Suhao Speed” and “Suhao Quality.”
