On April 2, Zhoushan Changhong International officially delivered the 11,500-TEU LNG dual-fuel container ship “MSC ZIVANA” (Hull No. CHB2035) to Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC). The handover was finalized via video conference, marking a delivery 180 days ahead of the contractual schedule. This achievement follows the vessel’s naming ceremony held on April 1.

Jointly designed by CIMC ORIC and Changhong International, the vessel measures 335 meters in length, 45.6 meters in beam, and 25 meters in draft, with a design speed of 20 knots. A key feature is its LNG dual-fuel propulsion system, which significantly reduces emissions of sulfur oxides, nitrogen oxides, and carbon dioxide, aligning with the shipping industry’s shift toward green, low-carbon development. The vessel is classed by Bureau Veritas (BV).

The delivery of the “MSC ZIVANA” underscores the strong collaboration between Changhong International and MSC, adding a technologically advanced, eco-friendly asset to the owner’s fleet. The efficient delivery of this series highlights Changhong International’s production capacity and commitment to customer value, further solidifying its reputation in the global high-end shipbuilding market, particularly in the sector of clean energy vessels.
