On March 16, Chongqing Chuandong Shipbuilding Industuy (Chuandong Shipbuilding)—a subsidiary of CSSC (Chongqing) Equipment Technology—signed a delivery agreement with Shihua South Oil Shipping for an 8,000 DWT crude oil/product oil tanker, marking the successful handover of the vessel to the shipowner.

With an overall length of 119.8 meters and a beam of 18.2 meters, this vessel features a single-engine, single-propeller, single-deck, and aft-engine configuration. It is designed for navigation in domestic offshore waters and Class B ice zones, while also being adapted for voyages along the Yangtze River as far upstream as Nanjing, as well as operations in the Xisha and Nansha sea areas. Serving as a crude oil and refined oil tanker, the vessel is additionally equipped to handle fuel bunkering operations.
It is understood that the final vessel currently under construction for Shihua South Oil Shipping—an 11,300 DWT stainless steel chemical tanker—is currently undergoing outfitting at the quar. Chuandong Shipbuilding will strictly implement its specialized working group mechanism for off-site vessel delivery to ensure the successful completion of all delivery commitments this June.
