Recently, CIMC Enric’s subsidiary, Youqi Environmental Engineering (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Youqi Environmental”), as a core supporting enterprise, delivered the EPC package of liquid cargo system and LNG dual-fuel gas supply system for a 9000m³ ethylene multi-purpose transport vessel.
The aforementioned system is compatible with up to 22 types of cargo, including LNG, LEG, and LPG, and is an integrated system equipped with an LNG dual-fuel power system. This technology is the first of its kind in China, marking the achievement of domestic substitution with complete intellectual property rights for this technology.
In 2025, CIMC Enric completed the controlling acquisition of Youqi Environmental. Youqi Environmental is specialized in providing integrated technical solutions for marine cryogenic liquid cargo handling systems (CHS) and LNG fuel gas supply systems (FGSS), and is a domestic leader in its respective niche sector.
Currently, CIMC Enric has achieved comprehensive business coverage in major maritime clean energy fields, including the overall construction of liquefied gas ships, core liquid cargo handling systems & marine fuel tanks, cryogenic liquid cargo systems and gas supply systems.
Cryogenic cargo handling systems are core components of liquefied gas (LNG) carriers. For a long time, China’s key cargo handling systems for multi-purpose ethylene carriers have been heavily reliant on imports. To break the foreign monopoly and achieve independent control, Youqi Environment, leveraging the industrial support of CIMC Enric, has taken the lead in completing the independent research and development and actual delivery of cargo handling systems and LNG supply systems for multi-purpose ethylene carriers. This significantly improves equipment adaptability and operational economics, providing crucial support for the domestic substitution of core components for gas carriers in China.
Currently, Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co., Ltd (CIMC SOE), a subsidiary of CIMC Enric, has become a leading enterprise in the global market segment of small and medium-sized LNG carriers. It leads the world in the number of LNG bunkering vessels and marine fuel tanks on hand and in terms of delivery volume. In 2025, the total number of new orders for clean energy on the water has exceeded RMB 10 billion.
In terms of technological innovation in marine liquefaction systems, Youqi Environmental will continue to increase R&D investment, focusing on core areas such as cryogenic technology and green energy conservation. It will iterate and upgrade core products including liquid cargo systems and LNG dual-fuel gas supply systems, as well as full-process EPC services. The company will further expand application scenarios in the gas sector, deepen industrial collaboration, drive the coordinated development of the domestic gas supporting industry, and help “Made in China” gain a leading position in the global gas industry.
