On February 3, COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Zhoushan) formally delivered the second 63,600 DWT bulk carrier, the “FORTUNE JADE,” built for CIDO Shipping to its owner. This marks the company’s fourth newbuild delivery following the successful handover of three identical vessels in January.
The FORTUNE JADE measures 199.9 meters in overall length, 32.26 meters in beam, and 18.85 meters in depth. This vessel builds upon the green and eco-friendly advantages of its series, featuring an optimized hull design and high-efficiency main engines. Its fuel consumption performance exceeds industry averages, complies with relevant environmental regulations of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), and delivers outstanding operational economics and adaptability for global shipping routes.
The project commenced in May 2025, and the vessel successfully completed its sea trials on January 17, 2026. All core technical indicators of the vessel performed excellently, earning unanimous praise from the shipowner and the vessel inspection agency.
Its smooth delivery further solidifies COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Zhoushan)’s leading position and brand influence in the 63,600 DWT bulk carrier construction market, injecting robust momentum into high-quality development in the new year.
