First ROC-Built SPP40 Platform Supply Vessel Completes Sea Trials

Recently, the first SPP40 platform supply vessel built by ROC successfully completed its sea trial and safely docked at ROC’s quayside. This milestone laid a solid foundation for its official delivery and highlighted ROC’s leading edge in the offshore vessel sector.

During the sea trial, the trial team worked closely with the shipowner and classification society, formulating daily test plans with precision. Their collaboration demonstrated exceptional professionalism and efficient adaptability. Over the trial period, comprehensive inspections were conducted on the vessel’s performance indicators. The trial data confirmed that the vessel’s propulsion system operates stably and reliably, the maneuvering system is flexible and user-friendly, and the DP system is accurate and dependable. Key metrics such as speed, fuel consumption, vibration, and noise all met or exceeded design requirements, showcasing outstanding technical maturity.

After docking, ROC will promptly conduct a review and analysis of the entire sea trial process. The data gathering will be organized, valuable insights extracted, and a standardized operational procedure developed for future reference in similar vessel projects. Meanwhile, the construction team has already shifted its focus to subsequent tasks, striving toward the delivery milestone with full effort to ensure the handover of a high-performance, high-quality vessel to the shipowner.
