On December 11, Jiangmen Hangtong Shipbuilding of CCCC Fourth Harbor Engineering held a steel cutting ceremony for the “Shuangyuewan” semi-submersible aquaculture platform.
The “Shuangyuewan” semi-submersible aquaculture platform measures 82 meters in length, 32 meters in beam, and 21.5 meters in height, with an operating draft of 13 meters and a water volume of approximately 30,000 cubic meters. It is equipped with advanced systems such as intelligent feeding, environmental monitoring, and disease early warning, enabling intensive, intelligent, and green aquaculture, effectively improving aquaculture efficiency and catch quality.
Upon completion, the aquaculture platform will be used for deep-sea fishery aquaculture in the sea areas of Huizhou City, Guangdong Province. It will help accelerate the transformation of local fishery production methods, expand the production and operation space in the deep and open seas, and promote the construction of marine pastures and a strong marine province in Guangdong Province.
