H-LINE’s 7th Dual-Fuel PCTC Named at CSSC GSI, Finalizing Series

On November 11, the seventh PCTC (pure car and track carrier) built by CSSC Guangzhou Shipyard International (GSI) for South Korea’s H-LINE Shipping Company—an 8,600 CEU dual-fuel PCTC—was named in Nansha, Guangzhou. The vessel is named “GLOVIS TRINITY,”marking the successful completion of the shipowner’s seven PCTC order.

This vessel has an overall length of 200 meters, a beam of 38 meters, a design draft of 9.2 meters, and a design speed of 19 knots. It employs a dual-fuel LNG/fuel oil propulsion system that meets the International Maritime Organization’s Tier III emission standards, featuring environmental sustainability, energy efficiency, and reliable safety.

Additionally, the vessel is equipped with advanced intelligent ship systems that enable smart management of navigation, engine room, cargo, and other systems, effectively enhancing operational efficiency and safety. Furthermore, the vessel incorporates multiple energy-saving and emission-reduction technologies, such as optimized hull form, propeller fairings, and main engine exhaust heat recovery systems, further reducing energy consumption and emissions.

Since 2021, H-LINE Shipping has placed orders with GSI for four 7,000 CEU dual-fuel PCTCs and three 8,600CEU dual-fuel PCTCs. The first vessel in this batch was delivered ahead of schedule, and subsequent vessels have seen their construction cycles continuously shortened, with each vessel achieving delivery ahead of schedule to varying degrees, fully demonstrating GSI’s strong contract fulfillment capabilities.

It is understood that all seven vessels are operated by GLOVIS. The shipowner, H-LINE Shipping Co., is a major South Korean shipping company, while GLOVIS Logistics is South Korea’s largest logistics and transportation enterprise.

It is worth mentioning that GSI has received orders for nearly 40 PCTCs in recent years, and has successfully built and delivered 23 vessels to date, providing 169,000 transport spaces for the global automotive trade. Through lean management and technological innovation, GSI has delivered all its PCTCs ahead of schedule, demonstrating GSI’s determination and capability to promote the green and low-carbon transformation of the shipping industry through technological innovation.
