China Merchants Jinling Shipyard Delivers 63,500 DWT Bulk Carrier “Jinchuanmen”

On October 31, China Merchants Industry Jinling Shipyard officially named and delivered the second 63,500 DWT bulk carrier, the “Jinchuanmen”, built for Nanjing Ocean Shipping Co., Ltd. (NASCO) in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province.

According to reports, the “Jinchuanmen” is a sister ship of the “Jinyuanmen,” possessing outstanding qualities such as safety, efficiency, and environmental friendliness. In the future, this vessel will serve ports along the “Belt and Road” route, providing convenient transportation services to customers and helping to enhance NASCO’s competitiveness in the ocean shipping market.

The delivered vessel “Jinchuanmen” has an overall length of 199.9 meters, a beam of 32.26 meters, and a speed of 13.5 knots.

Featuring the latest design, the vessel complies with the most recent international conventions, rules, and regulations. Its Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) meets IMO Phase III requirements, making it a safe, efficient, low-consumption and environmentally friendly bulk carrier.

It is capable of carrying grain, coal, iron ore, steel coils, certain dangerous goods under the IMSBC Code, and other dry bulk cargoes. The vessel also accommodates deck cargoes, featuring a large deadweight capacity and substantial cargo hold volume. Equipped with four crane systems, it offers enhanced cargo adaptability.
