CIMC SOE Delivers First Two Ship Sets of Fuel Tanks for MSC’s 10,300 TEU Newbuilds

Recently, Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co., Ltd (CIMC SOE) successfully shipped the first two sets of 6,800m³ stacked fuel tanks—part of a 10-set order for Zhoushan Changhong International Shipyard Co. LTD (Changhong International)—from the East Dock.

This batch of core equipment will be deployed on the 10,300 TEU container ships being built by Changhong International for global shipping giant Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), injecting robust momentum into the green, low-carbon, and efficient operation of large vessels.

The simultaneous delivery of two ship sets of fuel tanks marks the official entry of this project series into the critical phase of mass production.

It is reported that the remaining eight sets of fuel tanks from the same series have fully entered the mass production phase. All processes are progressing in an orderly manner according to the established schedule, with delivery to Changhong International scheduled to commence in 2026. This will provide a solid foundation for the timely commissioning of the MSC series container ships.

CIMC SOE stated that in the future, it will continuously refine product details through stricter quality control standards and cutting-edge technological R&D capabilities. The company will persistently deliver high-quality, high-performance integrated marine engineering solutions to global customers, contributing robust Chinese strength to the sustainable development of the global shipping industry.
