Recently, Hengli Heavy Industries announced that it has successfully signed contracts for the construction of several large vessels, including bulk carriers, container ships, and oil tankers, fully demonstrating the company’s strong competitiveness and comprehensive strength in the global shipbuilding industry.

The signed projects include:

2+2 95,500 DWT bulk carriers: As one of Hengli Heavy Industries’ flagship ship types, this bulk carrier boasts advantages such as high efficiency, energy savings and strong port adaptability, making it widely applicable to major ports around the world and highly favored by shipowners. This contract signing project innovatively adopts an offshore RMB settlement method, marking a significant initiative by Hengli Heavy Industries to actively respond to the national RMB internationalization strategy. This approach effectively mitigates exchange rate fluctuation risks, reduces shipowners’ financing costs, and enhances trade efficiency.

2+2 LNG dual-fuel Suezmax tankers: This type of tanker is the mainstream large crude oil carrier in the world, with the characteristics of large load, low fuel consumption, excellent environmental performance, etc., which meets the current international shipping market’s demand for green and low-carbon transportation. The Suezmax tanker project signed this time adopts Hengli Heavy Industries’ own design, which fully reflects the company’s independent innovation ability and technical strength in the field of high-end ship design, and further consolidates the company’s competitive advantage in the global shipbuilding market.

2 LNG dual-fuel 22,000TEU container ships: It is one of the largest container ships in the world, with extremely high loading capacity and advanced intelligent management system, representing the leading level of current container ship construction technology. The container ships signed this time are the follow-up ships of the ultra-large container ships that Hengli Heavy Industries has undertaken to build in batches. Through batch construction, the company will effectively control construction costs, improve production efficiency, and further consolidate its competitive advantage in the global ultra-large container ship market. It is worth mentioning that the dual-fuel engines of this series of ships are also independently manufactured by Hengli Heavy Industrie, which fully reflects the company’s independent innovation capabilities in the field of core equipment manufacturing and further enhances product competitiveness.

The signing of this series of orders not only reflects Hengli Heavy Industries’ comprehensive strength in high-end ship design, construction and management, but also marks the further deepening of the company’s layout in the global shipping market. Hengli Heavy Industries said that in the future, the company will continue to increase R&D investment, expand the high value-added ship market, strive to build a world-class shipbuilding company, and provide global customers with better products and services.
