Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore (BV) and Everllence have signed a Framework Agreement for Strategic Collaboration, establishing a five-year partnership focused on maritime decarbonization and digitalization.

Signed at SMM 2026 in Hamburg, the agreement sets out a structured framework for cooperation between the two organizations through September 2031. Under the agreement, BV and Everllence will work as core partners in the areas covered by the framework and establish a governance structure to oversee the collaboration. It will bring together Everllence’s expertise in marine propulsion, energy systems and emissions-reduction technologies with BV’s capabilities in classification, technical assessment and regulatory support.
The collaboration will focus on addressing maritime decarbonization and digitalization challenges through alternative fuels, advanced propulsion concepts and innovative digital solutions. It will also strengthen technical knowledge sharing and support the development of practical, customer-focused solutions.
Under the agreement, BV and Everllence will work as core partners in the areas covered by the framework and establish a governance structure to oversee the collaboration. A Steering Group will meet annually to review progress, discuss major developments affecting the maritime industry and identify areas for further cooperation. Specific projects will be defined and formalized through individual sub-agreements, allowing the two organizations to develop targeted initiatives as industry requirements, technologies and regulations evolve.
