Funing Heavy Industry delivers one vessel and starts construction on another

On July 11, Funing Heavy Industry, a subsidiary of Fujian Shipbuilding, successfully delivered the “China Environmental Monitoring Min 001” — a marine ecological environment monitoring, survey and law enforcement vessel built for the Xiamen Environmental Monitoring Station of Fujian Province.

The vessel is the first marine ecological environment monitoring and isurvey vessel in Fujian, with a total length of 55.20 meters, a beam of 10.30 meters, a full-load draft of 2.70 meters, a full-load displacement of 960 tons, and a domestic offshore navigation area. It is classified by China Classification Society (CCS). It is mainly used for marine ecological environment monitoring and investigation operations within the jurisdiction of Fujian Province.

It has the ability to monitor the nearshore comprehensive marine environment, perform fidelity sampling, and conduct partial on-site analysis. It is a multifunctional vessel that integrates the functions of marine environmental monitoring, environmental emergency response, environmental law enforcement, investigation and scientific research, popular science propaganda, and patriotism education base.

On July 11, Funing Heavy Industry successfully started construction of an 85-meter subsea support and maintenance vessel (FN85M-SSMV-8).

The vessel is 85 meters long, 22 meters wide with a gross tonnage of about 5,200 tons and a designed speed of 12.5 knots. The vessel flies a flag of convenience and is classified by ABS. It is a subsea support and maintenance flag of convenience that sails in unlimited navigation areas. It is a fully welded steel structure vessel equipped with two bow thrusters, three main generators, two full-rotation rudder propellers, two anchor winches, an unmanned engine room, a helicopter platform, a moon pool, etc. with a capacity of 200 people.
