Jiangsu Soho Chuangke Shipbuilding Reports Strong 2024 Performance: 16 Ships Received, 7 Delivered

Since its reorganization and integration was unveiled on April 30, 2024, Jiangsu Soho Chuangke Shipbuilding has gone through 365 days and nights.

In 2024, Jiangsu Soho Chuangke Shipbuilding achieved operating income of RMB 6.375 billion (approximately US$884 million), with revenue from the four core business segments accounting for more than 80%, total import and export volume reaching US$516 million, and total profit exceeding RMB 128 million, a year-on-year increase of 24%. In the first quarter of 2025, operating income was RMB 1.34 billion (approximately US$186 million), a year-on-year increase of 3.2%, total import and export volume was US$188 million, a year-on-year increase of 45%, and total profit was RMB 36 million, a year-on-year increase of 24%, delivering a hard-core answer sheet for integrated development.

Among them, the shipbuilding and trading industry performed particularly well. In 2024, it received 16 ship orders with a total amount exceeding US$500 million, started construction of 10 new ships, and delivered 7 ships, becoming an important growth pole for the development of the group and driving the coordinated development of other businesses.

It is understood that Soho Chuangke Shipbuilding is a company under Soho Holding Group, a large state-owned wholly-owned enterprise group in Jiangsu Province. It was formed through the merger and reorganization of three companies, namely Sainty Machinery, Sainty Minmetals, and Sainty Assets, and was inaugurated on April 30, 2024. Sainty Shipbuilding (Yangzhou) Co., Ltd. (Sainty Shipbuilding), which is under Sainty Assets, has thus been integrated into Soho Chuangke Group.

On November 8, 2024, Sainty Shipbuilding (Yangzhou) was officially renamed Jiangsu Soho Chuangke Shipbuilding and completed the change of industrial and commercial information. Sainty Shipbuilding (Yangzhou) has thus become a thing of the past.

Public information shows that before the name change, Sainty Shipbuilding (Yangzhou) covered an area of ​​about 1,050 Mu and had a coastline of 930 meters. It had one dock, one slipway, two outfitting piers, and was equipped with two 500-ton gantry cranes. It had advanced shipbuilding equipment and its main products were bulk carriers below 100,000 tons, container ships, heavy lift ships, multi-purpose ships, and offshore engineering ships.
