Huanghai Shipyard secures order for two 1800TEU Container Vessels from Seatrade

Rotterdam-based reefer specialist shipping and logistics company Seatrade is to build two 1,800 teu containerships from China’s Huanghai Shipyard, according to Trade Winds.

The modern reefer container ships are designed to increase efficiency while contributing to the sustainability of the maritime industry. Each vessel is equipped with more than 600 reefer plugs and a 40-ton crane.

Seatrade had signed a contract with Yellow Sea Shipbuilding in 2022 for the construction of four 1,800 TEU containerships, which will be delivered from the fourth quarter of 2023 to the first quarter of 2024. The two latest vessels will be delivered in 2025,and will be named Seatrade Panama and Seatrade Curacao,respectively.
