CIMC SOE and GSI engage in strategic collaboration agreement

On April 26, Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co., Ltd (CIMC SOE) and Guangzhou Shipbuilding International Co., Ltd.(GSI) held a signing ceremony for the strategic cooperation agreement in Qidong.

At the signing site, Jiang Weifeng, Assistant General Manager and General Manager of Offshore Division of CIMC SOE, reported the progress of the projects under construction to GSI, saying that all the projects are now advancing smoothly under the joint efforts of both parties.

Especially, the project of MSC’s 16,000 TEU dual-fuel container ship No.7 – 13,000 m3 B-type LNG tanks, which came into effect in April last year, is still progressing smoothly in the face of various unfavorable factors.

Since 2021, the two parties have started cooperation on LNG fuel tank products. Up to now, CIMC SOE has successfully delivered 20 fuel tank products with 18 fuel tank products under construction, covering Aframax tankers, PCTCs, large container ships and other main new energy green and low-carbon ship types of GSI.

Based on the principle of complementary advantages and win-win cooperation, the two parties are mainly cooperating in the development of alternative fuel tanks and storage tanks, the development of dual-fuel gas supply system, and the supply of fuel tanks/cargo tanks.

The signing of this strategic agreement once again proves CIMC SOE’s outstanding design and construction capability in the field of liquid tanks. It is of great significance to CIMC SOE to provide customers with various customized Marine liquid tanks, fuel tanks and other professional product solutions.
