CIMC SOE Delivers First 7,200m³ LEG Carrier GASCHEM FUJI to Hartmann Group

Recently, Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co.,Ltd.(CIMC SOE), a subsidiary of CIMC Enrico, delivered GASCHEM FUJI, the first 7,200m³ LEG carriers designed and built for Hartmann Group of Germany.

It is said that there are threeLEG carriers in this series, and this delivery is the first unit, and the remaining two units will be delivered in 2024. The 7,200m³ LEG carrier has an overall length of about 116 meters, a beam of 18 meters and a depth of 12.3 meters.

Compared with conventional small LEG carriers, this series of LEG carriers are equipped with advanced MAN dual-fuel main engines, which not only meet the latest emission requirements, but also significantly reduce CO2 emissions during transportation.

With the global environmental protection situation becoming increasingly severe, CIMC Enrico adheres to the strategy of green, environmentally friendly and sustainable development, and actively researches, develops and builds green ships that comply with the latest environmental protection standards.

In the first quarter of 2024, CIMC Enrico secured newbuilding orders for 2+2 40,000m³ LPG/Liquid Ammonia carriers, with the overall new orders for clean energy vessels increasing by 11 times year-on-year, and the hand-held orders as of the end of March amounted to CNY12.35 billion ( about US$2.65 billion), which is nearly triple the year-on-year increase. In addition, in the first quarter of 2024, the company has successfully delivered an 8,200m³ LNG bunkering vessel, giving new impetus to the green development of the global shipping industry.
