SMDERI Receives CCS Type Approval for Two Ship Automation Systems

Recently, the HT-VCS11 Valve Remote Control System and HT-LMS11 Liquid Level Telemetry System independently developed by China State Shipbuilding Corporation Shanghai Marine Diesel Engine Research institute (SMDERI), have successfully passed the type test and obtained the Type Approval Certificate issued by China Classification Society (CCS).

HT-VCS11 valve remote control system controls valves, pumps and other equipment to display valve status and alarm information. Valve remote control system can be adapted to electro-hydraulic, electric and other forms of valve drive power, can be configured according to the needs of follower control, PID control and other control modes, with manual and automatic control modes, to achieve the preset process of one-key automatic dialing.

HT-LMS11 liquid level telemetry system can carry out measurement of liquid level, temperature, pressure, etc., calculate information such as hold capacity, hold ratio, liquid level height, etc. and output liquid level alarm. The liquid level telemetry system can be adapted to float, piezoelectric, radar and other liquid level sensors. It can correct the liquid level according to the ship’s longitudinal and transverse inclination values, and it can filter the values of the tank capacity and liquid level to reduce the error generated by the ship’s swaying.

At present, SMDERI has undertaken the valve remote control system and liquid level telemetry system for the projects of research and practical training vessels and aquaculture vessels, etc., which will be further popularized and applied on ocean-going cargo vessels.
