On the morning of April 23, “Huayuan 503”, a 52,000DWT bulk carrier built for Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Group Shipping Center by Yangzijiang Group’s New Yangzi Shipbuilding, departed from the shipyard for its maiden voyage and put into operation.
“Huayuan 503” is a domestic offshore area river-sea direct bulk carrier, suitable for loading bulk solid cargoes, such as coal, ore, grain, etc. The bulk carrier has an overall length of 199.95m, a beam of 32.26m, a structural draught of 11.2m and a structural draught DWT of 53,300 tons with a service speed of 13 knots. It is equipped with shaft generator system, shore power system which is more energy-saving and environmentally friendly.
Supported by Yangzijiang Shipping, the scale of Yangzijiang Shipping Center is growing rapidly and the management team is maturing gradually. The commissioning of “Huayuan 503” will provide new support for the operation and development of Yangzi River Shipping fleet. At present, the capacity of Yangzi River Shipping Center has reached 33 ships, of which the bulk carrier capacity is 2 million DWT.
