GENMA Launches 300-Ton Crane Build for Wison’s 9-Billion-Yuan Offshore Project

On June 16, GENMA officially commenced fabrication of a 300-ton portal crane for Wison Offshore & Marine (Qidong) at its Chongchuan manufacturing base — Nantong Rainbow Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd. Leaders from both companies attended the steel-cutting ceremony to mark the occasion.

Engineered as a heavy-lift solution for offshore and marine operations, the crane is built around a lightweight design. Optimized structures cut both foundation and operating costs, while full variable-frequency drives and PLC-based intelligent controls deliver precision handling and impressive energy efficiency. Standardized design and pre-fitted welding brackets boost structural life and corrosion resistance from day one, and the modular setup with remote diagnostics keeps routine maintenance fast and hassle-free.

It is understood that the Wison Offshore & Marine (Qidong) Base project was officially launched in August 2024, with construction commencing in February 2025. The civil engineering work for the base’s factory buildings was completed in April 2026, and a single-girder gantry crane with a capacity of 2,400 metric tons and a span of 200 meters was hoisted into place in May 2026. The project is scheduled for full completion and commencement of operations in October 2026.

The Wison Offshore & Marine (Qidong) base represents a total investment of 9 billion yuan, covering an area of approximately 1.2 million square meters. Phase I of the project includes 1,370 meters of deep-water harbor shoreline; a 520-meter-long and 110-meter-wide offshore dock equipped with a 2,000-ton gantry crane; and a 150,000-square-meter modular assembly area with 5,000-ton module lifting and shipping berths and a 10,000-ton module roll-on/roll-off wharf. The module assembly area will also be equipped with a 1,200-ton gantry crane. Upon completion, the project will produce 2-3 FLNG vessels annually.
