According to the weekly report from shipbroker Xclusiv Shipbrokers, EGPN BULK CARRIER has ordered two 64,000 DWT bulk carriers from New Dayang Shipyard, a subsidiary of Sumec Marine. The construction cost for each vessel is $35 million, with a total value of $70 million for the two vessels. Delivery is expected in 2028 and 2029.

According to records, EGPN Bulk Carrier was founded in 2014 through a merger between Eastern Ocean Transportation (Hong Kong) and Great Pacific Navigation. It has grown into a comprehensive shipping enterprise integrating international shipping, ship trading, mineral trading and fleet operation. Its business covers vessels of various deadweight tonnages, multiple types of bulk and liquid cargoes, as well as numerous international shipping routes.
EGPN BULK CARRIER operates a fleet of over 30 vessels, including Capesize, Panamax, and Handysize dry bulk carriers, as well as product tankers and multi-purpose chemical tankers. Approximately 20 of these vessels are owned by the company, with a total carrying capacity of approximately 1.26 million deadweight tons.
In terms of shipbuilding, in addition to the two bulk carriers for EGPN BULK CARRIER, New Dayang Shipyard will also build two bulk carriers for Jinhui Group, which will be leased to a third party upon delivery for the transport of dry bulk commodities.
On June 8, Jinhui Group issued an announcement titled “Extraordinary Major Acquisition—Acquisition of Two Vessels,” stating that the company, acting on behalf of two indirect subsidiaries (the First Purchaser and the Second Purchaser) in which it holds approximately 55.69% equity, had signed a contract with Sumec Marine and its shipyard, New Dayang Shipyard, for the construction of two 64,100 DWT bulk carriers. The construction cost per vessel is $34 million, with a total value of $68 million. Delivery is expected on or before May 31, 2030, and June 30, 2030, respectively.
