On May 15, Jiangsu Anfeng Offshore High-End Marine Equipment Manufacturing Project was officially signed and established in Changjiang Town, Rugao City, Nantong, Jiangsu Province, aligning with the significant growth in demand for new shipbuilding and offshore engineering equipment.
The Jiangsu Anfeng Offshore High-End Marine Equipment Manufacturing Project is a joint venture between Hebei Anfeng Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd. and Jiangsu Haitong Offshore Engineering Equipment Co.,Ltd. (JSHT). The planned total investment for the project is RMB 3 billion, and it will occupy a total area of approximately 520 mu (approximately 347,000 square meters). Once the project is completed and reaches full production capacity, it is expected to generate an additional annual revenue of RMB 5 billion. The project company is named Jiangsu Anfeng Offshore Engineering Equipment Co., Ltd.
According to information from AiQiCha, Jiangsu Anfeng Offshore Engineering Equipment Co., Ltd. was established on May 13, 2026, with a registered capital of 280 million yuan (approximately $41 million). The company is registered in Changjiang Town, Rugao City, Nantong City, Jiangsu Province, and its business scope includes shipbuilding and repair, port operations, and the manufacture of offshore engineering equipment.
The new company was established as a joint venture between Hainan Yangpu Shunbo Technology Service Co., Ltd. (an affiliate of Zhang Qingmin, the actual controller of Hebei Anfeng Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd.) and JSHT, with capital contributions of 182 million yuan and 98 million yuan, respectively, representing equity stakes of 65% and 35%.
According to information on its official website, Hebei Anfeng Iron and Steel Group was established in 1999 with a registered capital of 8 billion yuan (approximately $1.177 billion). It is a diversified private integrated steel enterprise that has been ranked among China’s Top 500 Private Enterprises for many consecutive years. Its products are widely used in various industries, including building materials, machinery manufacturing, home appliances, and automobiles. The signing and launch of the Jiangsu Anfeng Offshore High-End Marine Equipment Manufacturing Project marks this private integrated steel enterprise’s official expansion into the shipbuilding and marine engineering equipment manufacturing sector, 27 years after its founding.
JSHT is a key shipbuilding and offshore engineering enterprise in Nantong, specializing in shipbuilding, offshore engineering equipment, and large-scale steel structure fabrication; Covering an area of over 500,000 square meters, the facility features a 660-meter outfitting wharf and a 400-meter × 50-meter dry dock. It is equipped with one 300-ton and one 1,100-ton gantry crane, two 3,272-ton portal cranes, and a 100,000-ton outfitting wharf, offering a comprehensive range of shipbuilding facilities and equipment.
