Dajin Heavy Industry Launches 40,000 DWT Deck Carrier KING TWO for Offshore Wind Component Transport

On April 19, Dajin Heavy Industry’s Panjin Offshore Engineering Base successfully launched its second large deck transport vessel, the 40,000 DWT “KING TWO”. This vessel, built at the Panjin base, follows the successful maiden voyage of its first vessel of the same type, “KING ONE”, which fully validated the vessel’s sailing performance and reliability, demonstrating the company’s strong technical capabilities and outstanding construction skills in the field of large, high-end shipbuilding.

Designed and built entirely in-house by Dajin, KING TWO measures 239.8m in length, 51m in breadth, and 13m in depth, with a deck area of 12,000 sqm. Its flexible design makes it ideally suited for transporting offshore wind components, including monopiles, Jacket, floating foundations, and large offshore engineering modules.

It is reported that the Panjin Base, one of Dajin Heavy Industry’s three major marine engineering bases in the Bohai Bay area, focuses on high value-added products such as large deck transport vessels, semi-submersible vessels, and heavy-lift vessels.

Currently, the construction of several vessels on the slipway is progressing smoothly, and the delivery pace is steadily accelerating. In addition to the “KING TWO” launched this time, the third vessel in the KING series will also be launched in May this year, and both vessels will officially enter service within the year. With the rapid formation of its high-end special-purpose vessel fleet, Dajin Heavy Industry is steadily building a world-leading marine engineering equipment construction and service system according to its established strategic pace, striving to become a key force driving the global deep-sea energy transformation.

With the successive commissioning of a series of offshore engineering vessels such as the “KING TWO”, Dajin Heavy Industry will further improve its closed-loop system of the entire industrial chain, which includes “equipment manufacturing + offshore logistics + home port operation + installation and construction”. It will continue to deepen its global market layout, enhance its localization service capabilities, provide global customers with one-stop solutions from equipment manufacturing to installation and construction, and contribute Dajin’s strength to the development of the global marine economy and the energy transition.
