Chowgule and Company’s Shipbuilding Division announce the signing of a contract with Green Maritime Infrastructure (GMI) for the construction of two hydrogen-powered cargo vessels at Chowgule Shipyard, Goa.
The two vessels, each with a capacity of 3,000 DWT, will form part of GMI’s growing zero-emission fleet and represent an important step towards the development of sustainable coastal shipping powered by advanced hydrogen fuel-cell technology.

The contract was signed during SMM Hamburg 2026, bringing together partners committed to advancing the future of green maritime transportation.
