On March 24, Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding (Group) Co., Ltd. held a steel-cutting ceremony to mark the start of construction on the second vessel in COSCO Shipping’s 13,600 TEU container ship series.
Hudong-Zhonghua stated that it will strictly adhere to construction standards, implement pallet-based management, and promote rhythm-based production. Building on the experience gained from constructing the first vessel, the company will continue to promote lean standardized operations and workstation fixed-position management, clearly define process rhythms and key quality control points, and enhance construction efficiency through balanced production and lean operations.
