According to the official WeChat account of Xiangshui Wanlong Heavy Industry, as of March 20, the company holds orders for 11 vessels totaling 860,000 deadweight tons. Six of these vessels are currently under construction, and the company expects to launch 4 to 5 vessels this year, generating revenue exceeding 1 billion yuan. The shipyard is scheduled to begin construction on a 210,000 DWT bulk carrier on March 28.
According to reports, the 210,000 DWT bulk carrier soon to be constructed by Xiangshui Wanlong Heavy Industry was ordered by Hainan Anli International. With a total length of 300 meters and a beam of 50 meters, the vessel has a service speed of approximately 14.5 knots and a range of 27,000 nautical miles. It marks the first ultra-large bulk carrier to be built by a shipyard in northern Jiangsu.

According to publicly available information, Xiangshui Wanlong Heavy Industry was established on October 22, 2024, through the restructuring and upgrading of the former Sanjia Shipbuilding Heavy Industry. With a registered capital of 100.18 million yuan, the company specializes in the manufacture of high-end vessels such as dual-fuel bulk carriers and container ships, while also engaging in offshore engineering equipment manufacturing and ship repair services.
As a key regional shipbuilding project, Xiangshui Wanlong Heavy Industry has a total investment exceeding 1.7 billion yuan and a planned site area of 1,600 mu (approximately 1,066,666.67 square meters). Construction will proceed in three phases.
Under the plan, the project will construct one 80,000-ton berth and one 50,000-ton berth, along with five large shipbuilding slipways and two outfitting piers. It will be equipped with a range of heavy-duty machinery, including gantry cranes with lifting capacities ranging from 200 to 600 tons. Additionally, the project will feature a new paint shop compliant with international PSPC standards, a semi-automated section assembly shop, and advanced equipment such as laser cutting and automated welding systems. Together, these facilities will form a technologically advanced, fully integrated modern shipyard.
On March 20, during a visit to Xiangshui Wanlong Heavy Industry for an inspection and guidance session, representatives from the Yancheng Shipbuilding Industry Association revealed that the shipyard plans to launch the second phase of construction at an appropriate time to lay the groundwork for future growth.

It is reported that Phase II of Xiangshui Wanlong Heavy Industry will focus on constructing two 100,000-ton dry docks, advancing the development of an industrial internet platform and the intelligent upgrading of equipment, and continuing to move toward green, low-carbon, and smart manufacturing. Once the entire project reaches full production capacity, its annual shipbuilding capacity will surge to 1 million deadweight tons, with an annual output value expected to exceed 5 billion yuan, tax contributions reaching 150 million yuan, and the creation of over 2,000 jobs.
