On January 9, COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry (Yangzhou) formally delivered the third 211,000 DWT bulk carrier in the series built for TMS DRY. This marks the second of five new vessels scheduled for delivery by the company in January.
The 211,000 DWT bulk carrier delivered represents a new generation of green, energy-efficient, and high-performance Newcastlemax bulk carriers. This vessel type was jointly designed by COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry (Yangzhou) Design and Research Institute and MARIC, featuring fully independent intellectual property rights.
COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry (Yangzhou) successfully transformed this advanced design into a high-quality vessel. Through a series of design improvements, including optimized hull lines, the configuration of a high-efficiency energy-saving system, the installation of a shaft generator, and the adoption of large cargo hold openings, its economy, propulsion efficiency and environmental performance have been significantly enhanced.
