On January 5, COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry (Yangzhou) successfully delivered the 114,000 DWT product tanker “Sea Orca” to the shipowner Pantheon Tankers.

This vessel is the first of the five newbuilds scheduled for delivery by COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry (Yangzhou) in January, marking a strong start for the company’s production and operations in 2026.

The Sea Orca is the third vessel in a series of four built by COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry (Yangzhou) for Pantheon Tankers. Measuring 248.8 meters in length, 44 meters in beam, and 21.5 meters in depth with a design draft of 13.5 meters, it represents a new generation of environmentally friendly LRII oil tankers.
Its hull form underwent multiple rounds of optimization and incorporates energy-saving features such as a bulbous bow and vortex-reducing fins, meeting EEDI Phase 3 standards with significantly improved fuel efficiency. The structural design complies with the latest CSR-H regulations, achieving greater deadweight capacity and cargo hold volume.
