On January 4, Hengli Heavy Industries launched four Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCCs) on the same day, setting a new global record in the shipbuilding industry and marking the company’s rhythmic and large-scale shipbuilding capabilities as world-leading.

Hengli Heavy Industries’ No. 1 dry dock measures 741 meters in length and 135 meters in width, capable of simultaneously constructing four 300,000 DWT VLCC/VLOCs.
Hengli Heavy Industries stated that the complexity and difficulty of preparing four giant vessels for simultaneous launch is rare in the industry. The launch of four 306,000 DWT VLCCs on the same day marks the first such occasion since Hengli Heavy Industries commenced full-scale operations, and represents a first in the global shipbuilding industry.

It is reported that this launching operation adopts the industry-leading cable trolley method, replacing traditional manual cable adjustment, significantly enhancing both safety and efficiency.
