In December, Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Corporation(DSIC, a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation) successfully launched seven vessels and delivered five vessels with high quality. With this achievement, DSIC has fully completed its annual production targets, exceeding all key performance indicators and achieving a series of major breakthroughs in the high-end shipbuilding and offshore engineering equipment sectors.
Leveraging the synergistic advantages of its Dalian, Shanhaiguan, and Tianjin facilities, DSIC maximizes production capacity through scientific scheduling and efficient coordination. During peak production periods, DSIC had as many as 63 vessels under construction simultaneously.

This drives specialized production patterns across its bases: the Dalian base focuses on VLCCs, 110,000 DWT product tankers, and large LNG carriers; The Shanhaiguan base specializes in batch production of medium bulk carriers, medium oil tankers, and medium container ships; the Tianjin base prioritizes large container ships and VLCCs.
The ship repair and conversion sector has seen remarkable achievements. DSIC has deepened its strategic cooperation with top international clients from Greece, Spain, and other countries, successfully entering the high-end markets of Japan and South Korea, and building a more diversified and stable global customer base. Its container ship repair business experienced significant growth of 78%; it successfully delivered the world’s first large-scale ocean-going aquaculture vessel conversion project; and it secured a repair order for an LNG vessel from a renowned European shipping company, successfully entering the high-end ship repair and conversion market.
Building upon the achievement of exceeding its overall targets, DSIC has anchored its development strategy toward high-end, intelligent, and green manufacturing.
