Blueocean Wind Breaks Ground on 300,000-ton Floating Dock, Bolstering China’s Mega Marine Equipment Ambitions

December 2025 marked a double celebration for Blueocean Wind. On December 25, construction commenced on a 300,000-ton floating dock at Blueocean Wind’s Nantong base. This marks the final project of Blueocean Wind’s 2025 construction schedule, following the launch of the world’s leading Norwegian high-end aquaculture equipment at the company’s Jieyang base on December 15.

The floating dock project is owned by COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Shanghai), supervised by the China Classification Society, and constructed by Blueocean Wind’s Nantong base. Blueocean Wind will strictly adhere to all the specifications and requirements of the owner and the supervising party during construction, closely cooperate, and deliver the project precisely, contributing Blueocean Wind’s strength to the leap of China’s shipbuilding and marine engineering industry towards the field of ultra-large equipment.

Blueocean Wind has earned the full recognition and trust of the owner to undertake this major project, leveraging nearly two decades of accumulated expertise in the marine and offshore equipment sector, along with an outstanding reputation within the industry. While ensuring safety and quality, Blueocean Wind guarantees the project’s timely delivery. Upon completion, the project will significantly enhance China’s capabilities in large-scale ship repair, retrofitting, and offshore engineering equipment support. It will provide vital infrastructure support for China’s “Maritime Power” strategy and the development of the shipping economy.

Blueocean Wind currently operates seven major manufacturing bases in Jiangsu, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, and other regions, establishing a specialized division of labor with distinct focuses and coordinated development. While continuously consolidating its pioneering and leading position in deep-sea wind power, the group actively expands into diversified sectors including large vessels, offshore engineering equipment, marine aquaculture facilities, and large bridge steel structures, building a comprehensive marine equipment manufacturing system spanning multiple fields.

Over the past five years, Blueocean Wind has actively responded to the national strategy of building a maritime power and advancing the green energy industry. Upholding the core values of contractual sharing and craftsmanship-driven innovation, the company is committed to pioneering high-quality development in marine energy equipment through new productive forces. It has established a significant competitive edge and leadership effect within the industry.
