Recently, Yuhuan Haihang Shipbuilding & Repair has successfully secured an order for 3+6 newbuild Platform Supply Vessels (PSVs), which are funded by Hainan Xing Shou Shipping.

This vessel measures 64 meters in length, 16 meters in beam, and 6.8 meters in depth, with a design draft of 5.1 meters. It is classed by CCS (China Classification Society). The vessel is equipped with four 1000kW generator sets, which are grid-connected via centralized variable-frequency electrical control equipment to drive two 1250kW permanent magnet main propulsion motors and two 500kW side thrusters.
Additionally, this PSV is equipped with full slewing thrusters and side thrusters, achieving a maximum speed of 12 knots to meet open-sea navigation requirements. Integrated with a DP-2 dynamic positioning system, it ensures centimeter-level precision operations in harsh sea conditions, enabling it to confidently handle complex tasks such as deepwater drilling support, anchor handling, and platform towing.
This PSV not only efficiently transports fuel, fresh water, drilling supplies, and other materials, but can also be expanded to support high-value-added operations such as subsea engineering construction and offshore wind power operation and maintenance.
Notably, all vessels in this PSV series feature pre-installed battery interfaces and containerized battery installation spaces, supporting the future green energy transition of the fleet.
According to public records, Yuhuan Haihang Shipbuilding & Repair was established in 2008. Located in Binhang Industrial Park, Shamen Town, Yuhuan City, Zhejiang Province, it occupies an area of 190,000 square meters with 1,000 meters of coastline. The facility features two standard dry docks accommodating vessels from 30,000 to 50,000 DWT and five standard slipways for ships ranging from 20,000 to 50,000 DWT.
