Watts Energy Holds Steel Cutting of AltaGas’s Jetty Loading Platform for REEF Project

On December 12th, 2025, the steel cutting ceremony for the Ridley Island Energy Export Facility (REEF) jetty loading platform project, being constructed by Jiangsu Watts Energy Engineering Co., Ltd. (“Watts Energy”) for AltaGas Ltd., was grandly held at Qidong base of Watts Energy. With the precise cutting of the first piece of steel plate, the strategic cross-border cooperative project officially enteredthe construction phase. This marks that Watts Energy and AltaGas have jointly initiated new momentum for their energy equipment collaboration, building upon their previous successful partnership.

The successful commencement of this project also signifies that Watts Energy now possesses the capability for the design, construction, and delivery of high-standard, highly complex specialized modules for marine energy engineering. Previously, the company successfully delivered the world’s first 30,000cbm onshore LPG accumulator to AltaGas and its partner AC-INOX GmbH., earning client trust with its exceptional manufacturing quality. This jetty loading platform project represents another milestone in deepening cooperation between the two parties in the field of high-end energy equipment, such as mega-sized cryogenic storage tanks and loading pipe rack platforms.

Currently, Canadian liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) export sector is entering a crucial period of development. Watts Energy will fully leverage its technical advantages in specialized equipment design and manufacturing, as well as the application of cryogenic technologies to seize market opportunities and contribute to the continuous expansion of energy equipment in the clean energy sector together with its partners.
