CMES Q3 Net Profit Jumps 35% as Earnings Gain Momentum

On October 29th, China Merchants Energy Shipping (hereinafter referred to as “CMES”) released its Third Quarterly Report 2025.

The report disclosed that CMES achieved operating revenue of RMB 6.725 billion (approximately US$948 million) in the third quarter of 2025, a year-on-year increase of 10.95%; net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company was RMB 1.175 billion (approximately US$166 million), a year-on-year increase of 34.75%; basic earnings per share were RMB 0.15. For the first three quarters, operating revenue reached RMB 19.31 billion (approximately US$2.721 billion), a year-on-year increase of 0.07%; net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company was RMB 3.3 billion (approximately US$465 million), a year-on-year decrease of 2.06%; basic earnings per share were RMB 0.41.

According to available information, CMES, as a professional shipping company focusing on international cargo transportation, takes oil & gas transportation and dry bulk shipping as its two core businesses, with other transportation services (including container shipping and car ro-ro shipping) as organic supplements.
