The delivery of the new construction support vessel (CSV) “Viking Vigor”, ordered by the Norwegian joint venture Eidesvik Agalas, has been postponed to the third quarter of 2026, originally scheduled earlier this year.

The vessel is currently under construction at the Sefine shipyard in Turkey. The reason for the delayed delivery has not been disclosed.
In early 2024, Eidesvik Agalas and Agalas jointly placed an order with Sefine Shipyard for 1+4 methanol dual-fuel CSVs, each valued at $87.8 million, primarily for subsea and offshore wind operations.
The Viking Vigor measures 99.9 meters in length and 21 meters in width, accommodating 100 personnel. It features 900 square meters of net deck space and a 150-ton lifting-compensated crane. The vessel is equipped with methanol dual-fuel engines and a battery hybrid power system, along with inspection, maintenance, and repair (IMR) equipment.
Upon delivery, the offshore vessel is scheduled to enter into a three- to five-year time charter agreement with Reach Subsea. Eidesvik Offshore will be responsible for the vessel’s full management, including crew provisioning.
